Amy Quimby
Amy is a Level 1 Certified CrossFit Trainer and holds a CrossFit Olympic Weightlifting Certification.
Amy graduated from The University of Oklahoma with a BA in Psychology. Her true passion for fitness began during college when she got into long distance running. She has completed two marathons, numerous half marathons, and many other local runs. Amy first tried CrossFit three years ago, but the workouts only filled in the gaps between her long distance runs. Amy was in good shape, but monotony had set in and she wanted to take her fitness to the next level. In late 2008, she committed six days a week to CrossFit and scaled back tremendously on the treadmill. The results came quickly and they were amazing.
Amy became a Certified CrossFit Trainer in January 2009. CrossFit has provided her the experience of working out alongside and training a wonderful group of people. It is most gratifying for Amy to see people of all fitness levels struggle through the workouts and leave the gym a better person, both physically and mentally.
When she’s not at the gym, Amy enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Kelli VanGilder
Kelli is a Level 1 Certified CrossFit Trainer and holds a CrossFit Movement and Mobility Certification.
After competitive running in both Track & Cross Country in high school, Kelli became burned out in her running routine. She took time off from the fitness scene to attend and graduate from Oklahoma State University with BA in Journalism & Broadcasting with an emphasis in Public Relations. After graduation she began running again, but found it too monotonous to be consistent. She joined Sky Fitness & Wellbeing with friends and slowly began to do regular gym workouts, but with very little results. Kelli, who was diagnosed with scoliosis as a young child, suffered a back injury in August of 2008 that took her down for several months.
In November 2008, under doctor's orders, she returned to the gym just to walk on the treadmill. Of course, that wasn't enough, so in January of 2009, she decided to try CrossFit with some friends and was instantly addicted. The results were uncomparable, and the competitiveness in Kelli kept her wanting more. Even though she suffers from scoliosis, she has accomplished more, and is more physically fit, than she ever dreamed she could be through CrossFit. She loves loves the challenge that CrossFit has set for her.
After a little over a year of crossfitting, Kelli became a Certified CrossFit Trainer in March 2010. As a coach, she enjoys seeing her friends and fellow athletes strive to meet new PR's and the excitement on their faces when they reach those goals. She was lucky enough to travel with her friends and cheer them on at the 2010 Games in Los Angeles, California. What an exciting event!
Kelli is married to Eric VanGilder, and they have two boys. When not at the gym, she loves shopping and socializing with friends, and spending time with her family.

I graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a BA in Electrical Engineering with a Computer Engineering option. Once I graduated I moved to Tulsa and began working at SolArc, a software company in the Energy market. Being a software developer I spend a lot of time behind a desk developing software. The company provided free snacks and soda. This is where I ballooned up to 195 pounds and at 5'8" I was considered obese by all the medical experts. Debbie, my wife, is a workout machine and pressured me for years to make some changes. That is where my life began to turn around.
I began working out some in the mornings and evenings with my wife. We would spin and do some light lifting and I thought "Man I am really making some changes." I noticed these women in the gym one morning that were doing this crazy stuff. I asked them about it, mainly because I thought my wife would really enjoy it, and it turns out it was Amy Quimby, Hollace Fugate, and Mandy Malloy (three of the fittest ladies I know). They told me it was called "Crossfit" and where I could get some information about it. So when Sky-fit began offering it I was still a little too intimidated to try it. I would sit in spin class and watch these guys and gals do this crazy stuff and wish I was in the middle of it. My wife finally said "Quit being a sissy and go try it." My first "demo" class was "Fight Gone Bad". I made it through 2 rounds and thought I was going to pass out. I called my wife on the way home and told here that I thought I was going to die and that I can't wait to get back there tomorrow.
From that point on I have been totally addicted. Like most people, I love competing in anything and crossfit gives me the opportunity to compete day in and day out while increasing my fitness level. After almost 2 years of dedicated crossfitting I became a Certified level 1 Crossfit Trainer in November 2010. This certification allows me to have the opportunity to train and work out with a great bunch of people. I truly enjoy watching people come into a workout doubting whether they can accomplish it, work their tail off, and leave the gym more confident and in better shape.
When not at the gym working out, I love spending my time with my wonderful family and friends.
